Learn Like a Detective

From Discovery to Diagnosis: Your Medlock Holmes Journey

🧭 How It Works? The Medlock Method

Whether you found us through a webinar, a friend, or your own curiosity, welcome. Medlock Holmes is where future doctors begin training their minds like detectives—one case at a time. Here’s how to get started, what to expect, and how to join a tutorial that fits your learning style.

🕵️ Step 1: Explore the World of Medlock Holmes

Curious? Start with a case.
You can browse our specialty blogs, attend a free Monthly PBL Webinar, or read about our detective-doctor approach to learning. It’s medicine, made story-rich and student-friendly.

📩 Step 2: Contact Us

Ready to join? Reach out via our website contact form or email us directly. We’ll help you choose the tutorial format that best matches your goals, availability, and learning style.

For example, a £100 block becomes £80, and £150 becomes £120—more learning, less cost.

💳 Step 4: Payment Made Simple

We accept payment via:

  • Bank Transfer (UK accounts)
  • PayPal (International or preferred)

Once you confirm your session, we’ll send easy payment instructions via email. Invoices are issued on request.

📦 Step 5: Receive Your Pre-Reading Pack

Before your session, we’ll send you a short case teaser, a learning goals outline, and suggested readings or videos. These are designed to spark your thinking and prepare you to get the most out of your tutorial.

🎥 Step 6: Join Your Live Tutorial

  • All sessions are delivered live via Zoom.
  • You’ll engage in discussion, problem-solving, and guided reasoning with Mahi Kar Ray—first-year medical student and Medlock Holmes co-founder.
  • Each session is interactive, welcoming, and focused on learning through doing.

Can’t make it live?
No worries. All sessions are recorded and shared privately with participants for personal review.

⚠️ Please Note: Session Recordings & Participation

All group sessions are recorded by default. By attending a group session, you are providing consent for the session to be recorded and for the recording to be used for educational, training, and promotional purposes. Our aim is to grow a helpful video library to support future learners.

For individual sessions, you may request not to be recorded—however, this means you will not have access to a replay of your session for review. Unless explicitly requested otherwise, all individual sessions will also be recorded by default.

To create a psychologically safe and engaging learning environment, we kindly ask students to:

  • Keep their videos on throughout the session
  • Join from a stable internet connection
  • Use a laptop or desktop device for the best interactive experience (rather than a phone)

We’re committed to making every session collaborative, respectful, and enriching for all.

💬 The more you participate, the more you’ll gain—active discussion helps you think like a doctor and learn like one too.

📂 Step 7: Access Your Case Vault

After each session, you’ll receive:

  • A video recording of your tutorial
  • A PDF case summary
  • Any visual tools or diagrams shared during the session
  • Optional reflection questions to extend your learning

This helps you build a personal library of case knowledge you can revisit any time.

🔁 Step 8: Book Your Next Case

You’re free to continue case by case, explore a new system, or build a tailored series of sessions. No contracts, no pressure—just progressive, story-driven learning.

🌟 Ongoing Access

  • Invitations to monthly PBL webinars
  • Access to the Medlock Holmes Learning Hub
  • Priority booking for specialty-themed series
  • Optional interview prep and portfolio coaching
