Medlock Holmes was born from a moment of uncertainty — the gap between finishing school and starting medical training. For Mahi Kar Ray, that gap was filled with questions: What does medical school actually feel like? How do I prepare for PBL? Am I really ready?

Rather than wait for answers to arrive, she went looking for them. Medlock Holmes is the result — a detective-themed educational platform that helps aspiring medical students build clinical reasoning, case-solving skills, and confidence long before they enter a lecture hall.

Inspired by her own transition year, Mahi created Medlock Holmes to be the kind of resource she wished she’d had: fun, interactive, medically rich, and rooted in real student experience. With contributions from collaborators, mentors, and fellow students, it’s a community and a toolkit rolled into one — made for curious minds who want to explore the mystery of medicine with clarity and creativity.
